Faculty of Law

We face new type of problems such as infringement of intellectual property right, medical malpractice or environmental pollution as our society become more complicated. We have to tackle such problems regardless of whether or not we like, for example, by applying product liability to the environment pollution ore to consumer protection, strengthening intellectual property laws. It is essential, initially, to grasp an insight into the society where we are living at this moment and to obtain a good knowledge of legal theories, in order to solve such issues in the above. The ultimate aim of our faculty is to educate each student in the manner thar s/he acquires the both skills through the lectures and seminars. Indeed, our society requires human resources with such educational background not only as legal professionals but also as civil servants and business presons.

Our faculty offers students several basic courses on the 'core' subjects in the first and second year. Many courses are waiting afterwards for the student who in successfully completed the first two years. We advise the student to follow one of the five programs focused on the legal field where the students interest lies. These programs are; 'public law','business law','information and law','social welfare and environmental law', and 'politics and public administration'. The faculty naturally offers 'general program' for those prefer not to follow any specialised programs. Besides, our faculty members offer lectures on contemporary issues such like consumer protection law, environmental law or IT law. Moreover, all the students are welcome to the seminars given by the faculty members at any stage.

The Faculty's Office is on the 5th floor of the Sixth Building. Photo
