	James Charles Walsh born Aug 24, 1888 at Rathroe, Ireland (Sep. 22, 1885 at Killila according to Internet sources, but 1888 according to grave headstone) Recruited as an outfielder by Connie Mack. He played 6 years of professional baseball--128 games (1912-13) and a World Series with the Philadelphia Athletics; to the Yankees in 1914 for 43 games, then back to the Athletics for 68 games and the infamous 1914 World Series. He continued almost 2 more seasons (231 games) there until moving to Boston for 71 games (1916-17) and a 3rd World Series with the Red Sox. drafted into the army in World War I died July 3, 1962 of heart attack at Westvale Golf Course buried at St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse, NY
